I had a decent trip to CVS this week where I found the mini sized bags of play-doh from Halloween for $.69.
$.75/1 any Kleenex (excludes pocket size)
I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this, but I am a HUGE fan of books and reading. I am always looking to expand our children's library and almost always take advantage of the scholastic book orders (and fair) that Drew and Ali's school offers.

We also finished up our shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. November 16-23, 2009 is National Collection Week. If this is something that you may want to do, it is not too late to put one together. For more information, you can visit Samaritan's Purse.
I have been collecting items all year with Operation Christmas Child in mind. Aside from a trip to Dollar General with Drew and Ali to pick out a few items of their choosing to place in the box, everything that I included were items that I had gotten free or next to free with coupons.
School supplies, Buddies soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and small toys (McDonald's Happy Meal toys are perfect for this) are things that you can get rather cheap or free. The kids also wanted to include their favorite candy (it must be hard candy, no chocolate!). For Ali, it was Double Bubble gum and for Drew, it was Ring Pops.
